What is Greater Than, Less Than and Equal To?

Greater than, less than and equal to are three very important early learning math concepts. We have the definition of the terms below.

Definition of Greater Than:
Greater than is used to compare two numbers. It returns true (or 1) if the first number is greater than the second. For ex. 5 is greater than 3.

Definition of Less Than:
Less than is used to compare two numbers. It returns true (or 1) if the first number is less than the second. For ex. 3 is less than 5.

Definition of Equal To:
Equal to is used to compare two numbers. It returns true (or 1) if the first number is equal to the second. For ex. 5 = 5.
