What are the Months of the Year?

There are 12 months in the year. January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December make up the calendar year.  Children should learn the months of the year at a young age, as it helps them to understand the concept of time and how it relates to their daily lives. Learning the months can also help children to understand the order of events and how they are related to each other. Additionally, learning the months can help children to understand the concept of seasons and how they relate to different times of the year. How to Teach the Months of the Year?

For example, the popular rhyme “Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November” is a great way to help students remember the months with 30 or 31 days. You can also have students draw pictures of the different seasons to help them remember the months associated with each season.
