What are Ending Sounds?

Ending sounds, also referred to as ending consonant sounds or ending vowel sounds, are the sounds that are heard at the end of a word. They can be categorized as either a consonant or a vowel. Common consonant ending sounds include -t, -d, -s, and -z. Common vowel ending sounds include -a, -e, -i, -o, and -u.
