What is Reading Comprehension
Reading comprehension for first grade students is the ability to process written text and understand its meaning. In layman’s terms it is the ability to make sense of what you’re reading.
It is important for 1st grade readers for several reasons.

- Critical Thinking Skills: By reading and understanding what you are reading this encourages children to analyze information, evaluate arguments, and draw conclusions. These skills are essential for problem-solving and decision-making.
